Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 July 2026. These terms are a contract between you and CallBehalf. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we could.
1. Who we are
CallBehalf is operated by Tikhonova Ekaterina, a sole trader (trabalhador independente) registered in Portugal, NIF 313424608 ("CallBehalf", "we"). Contact: [email protected].
2. What the service is
- CallBehalf is an AI voice assistant. You describe a phone task in your own language; our AI agent places the call, speaks with the person who answers (in English, European Portuguese or Spanish), and reports the outcome back to you with a transcript.
- The assistant identifies itself at the start of every call as an assistant calling on your behalf. You cannot switch this disclosure off.
- The assistant only makes phone calls and reports what was said. It has no access to your accounts with third parties, cannot log in anywhere, cannot sign contracts, and cannot submit documents.
3. What the service is not
- No guaranteed outcomes. We guarantee the effort, not the result: the business may not answer, may refuse, may give wrong information, or the line may drop. You get an honest report either way, and honest reports of failed calls still use minutes.
- Transcripts may contain errors. Speech recognition and translation are imperfect. For anything important (deadlines, amounts, legal or medical matters), verify independently before acting.
- Not professional advice. Nothing in the service or in our guides is legal, tax, medical or immigration advice.
- Not affiliated. We are not affiliated with any business or public office the assistant calls, or that our guides describe.
- Not for emergencies. The service cannot call 112 or any emergency line. In an emergency, call 112 yourself.
4. Acceptable use
You may only use CallBehalf for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not use it to:
- harass, threaten, defraud or deceive anyone, or place repeated unwanted calls to the same person or business;
- impersonate someone else (the assistant acts on behalf of you, under the name on your account or a name you are authorised to use);
- call emergency services, premium-rate numbers, or numbers you have no legitimate reason to contact;
- collect personal data about third parties unlawfully, or share third-party data you have no right to share;
- attempt to make the assistant conceal that it is an AI, or otherwise circumvent its disclosure and safety behaviour;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or resell it without our written agreement.
We may refuse or terminate calls and suspend or close accounts that violate these rules. Where the violation is serious or repeated, prepaid amounts for the current period are not refunded.
5. Pricing and billing
- Plan: $15 (US dollars) per month, which includes 45 minutes of call time per billing cycle. Prices may change; we will notify you in advance and the change applies from your next cycle.
- Metering: call time is counted in seconds of actual call duration, from connection to hang-up. Failed calls, voicemail and ringing time count as call time as reported by our telephony provider.
- We never cut off an ongoing call. If a call runs past your remaining minutes, it is allowed to finish; the overage means your next call is blocked until renewal or upgrade.
- No rollover: unused minutes expire at the end of each billing cycle.
- Free trial: one demo call, no credit card required. One trial per person; duplicate accounts may be removed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription management (cancel, pause, payment method) happens through the Stripe customer portal, linked from your billing page.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- By starting to use the service within the 14-day withdrawal period, you request immediate performance; if you withdraw within 14 days of first purchase, we may deduct a proportional amount for call time already used, as permitted by Portuguese consumer law.
- Beyond that, refunds are handled case by case - if something went wrong on our side, write to us and we will make it right.
7. Your content and our service
- You keep all rights to the task descriptions you write. You grant us the licence needed to process them - i.e. to make the call and generate your report.
- The service, including our software, prompts and website content, is ours or our licensors'. You may not copy or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows.
- Your personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Liability
- We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but - to the extent permitted by law - we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or consequences of decisions you take based on call outcomes or transcripts.
- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will notify you by e-mail or in the app at least 14 days in advance; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't, cancel before they take effect.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes go to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules of your country of residence. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. In Portugal, consumer disputes may be submitted to the competent arbitration centres (RAL entities); details at consumidor.gov.pt.
